Kumera Drives has strong resources at its disposal to carry out extensive R & D work within its field of activity. All products fulfil the requirements of international standards as DIN, ISO and AGMA.
Materials
The gears and shafts are made of high quality steels. Due to the fact that the essentiality of gear unit is to transmit the power with the highest possible torque, Kumera pays attention to selecting also cast materials to maintain this goal. The housings are normally gray cast iron but in many
tailor- made cases also welded constructions or when heavy duty circumstances exist nodular cast iron.
Test runs, characteristics of operation
After the assembly of the first units a test run will be conducted for all standard and special gears and gear units. Special attention is paid to the measurements of temperatures, noise and vibration. The proper operation of lubrication and check of oil tightness is of importance. The test runs can be conducted with or without load.
Protocols of the test runs are available when needed.
